How to make money from your OpenAI GPT

GPTs are an amazing tool that OpenAI created and released to the developers and creators this November. In this guide, we'll show you how you can generate revenue from your GPTs without any coding by utilizing agenthost.ai

Agenthost.ai is a hosting and payments platform for GPTs. Think of it like a squarespace for GPTs. We'll be able to utilize the tool to host our GPT then add a free plan with limited messages along with a paid plan with unlimited messages.

Create your GPT

First, you'll need to create your GPT. If you haven't already, you can check out our guide on creating a GPT. Once you've created your GPT, you can go ahead and copy the instruction and files. For our example, we'll use our Klingon Tutor GPT which you can find here.

Create your agent

Next, we'll go ahead and create your agent. We can do this by going to the agenthost.ai homepage and clicking on the Get started for free button. You'll need to create an account and then you'll be able to create your agent. We'll fill out the details and copy over the instruction from our GPT along with any files we're using.

Create your free plan

Now that we have our agent, we can go ahead and create our free plan. We'll do this by selecting Manage on our newly created agent, then we'll navigate to Payments/plans tab and click on the Create plan button. We'll give our plan a name, description and set the price to Free. We'll then set the number of allowed messages to 10. We'll then click on the Create plan button to create our plan.

Create your paid plan

Now that we have our free plan, we can go ahead and create our paid plan. This requires upgrading to the pro plan and setting up Stripe. After doing that, we'll do select Manage again on our newly created agent, then we'll navigate to Payments/plans tab and click on the Create plan button. We'll give our plan a name, description and set the price to $10 per month. We'll then set the number of allowed messages to Unlimited. We'll then click on the Create plan button to create our plan.

Test and share your agent

Now that we have our free and paid plan, go ahead and visit the the agent page and verify you can send up to 10 free messages before you're told by the agent that a paid plan is required. You can now share your agent with your friends, and customers to start generating revenue from your GPT!
